Classroom Information
Welcome to our classroom. I’m very excited and feel privileged to be your child’s teacher this year. My goal is to provide an environment where every child feels that they are free to take risks, be themselves, work hard, learn lots, smile and go home at the end of the day with the love of learning.
Websites: I believe that communication between parents, students and teachers is very important. You will find our classroom web site at http://mfoelkl.weebly.com/ The site is filled with valuable information and events in our classroom. You will find additional information about our school at http://chapmanhill.salemkeizer.net/ and on our District website http://salemkeizer.org/.

Volunteer involvement is cited often as a key ingredient to a thriving classroom community. Please sign up on our volunteer list or email me with your availability. A criminal background history must be on file in order to volunteer. Forms are available at http://www.salkeiz.k12.or.us/content/human-resources/list-approved-volunteers#background
Behavior Expectations: In order to provide students with the best educational environment it is important for us to establish certain rules and guidelines for our classroom and our school. We have a good citizenship card posted. Your child can have 3 reminders about behavior for the week. After the third reminder your child will not make good citizen for the week. She/he will write a letter home. Please sign and return it the following day. If the letter is not returned your child and I will call to make sure you have had a chance to review the letter. If the infraction is serious I will fill out the appropriate form referring your child to the counselor or the principal.
